Got something practical out of this that I can apply later this week, and a stop at cactusferret added more details to think about, this is exactly the kind of content I bookmark for future reference rather than the throwaway listicles that dominate most search results these days for almost any common topic.
Just nice to read something that does not feel like it was assembled from a content brief, and a stop at careervertex kept that handcrafted feel going, you can tell when a real human with real understanding is behind the words versus a templated piece churned out for an algorithm to find.
Honest assessment is that this is one of the better short reads I have had this week, and a look at cadbrisk reinforced that, the bar for short content is low because most of it sacrifices substance for brevity but this site manages both at once which is harder than it sounds for most writers attempting it.
Started forming counter examples to test the claims and the post handled most of them implicitly, and a look at falbell continued that anticipatory style, writers who think two steps ahead of the critical reader save themselves from a lot of follow up work and this writer has clearly internalised that habit consistently.
Coming back to this one, definitely, and a quick visit to coyotehopper only made me more sure of that, the kind of writing that makes you want to set aside time later rather than rushing through it now while distracted by everything else competing for attention on the screen today across so many tabs.
