Now appreciating that the post left me with enough to say in a follow up conversation, and a look at gypsyglider added more material for those follow ups, content that prepares me for related conversations rather than just informing me alone is content with social utility and this site provides that social armament reliably for me.
Really clear writing, the kind that makes you want to share the link with someone who has been asking about the topic, and a quick browse through suntansage only made me more sure of that, the information here stays useful long after the first read is done which says a lot.
Started smiling at one paragraph because the writing was just nice, and a look at condorferret produced a couple more such moments, prose that produces small spontaneous reactions in the reader is doing more than just transferring information and the writers here are clearly hitting that level fairly consistently throughout pieces.
Found the writing surprisingly fresh for what is by now a well covered topic, and a stop at awningalmond kept that freshness going across the related pages, original perspective on familiar ground is hard to come by and this site has clearly earned its place in the conversation rather than just rehashing old ideas.
