Right — have been messing about with this thing for maybe six months now and it’s basically bookmarked at this point, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am UK based, mainly do football and horses, small stakes, for context.
The reason I started using it was honestly pretty stupid — I could never work out what an each way return actually was with 1/5 odds a place. I used to just wing it and moan when the payout landed. These days I type the odds in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.
Their single bet calculator tool is the one I open most — type in your stake, the odds and it spits out profit and total return instantly, either odds format. There’s also the bigger stuff — doubles and trebles maths, a lucky 15, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know lose track. The thing that genuinely shifted things for me was the geekier bits. They’ve got an odds-to-probability calculator and it makes obvious the overround, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. The dutch tool gets used a fair bit when I’m covering two or three runners.
Not all sunshine though. Its interface looks pretty plain — zero frills, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s fine but the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. There’s nothing on the app store, it’s browser only — fine by me but worth saying.
Right, that’s me. Free, barely any ads, works. If anyone honestly adds it up in their head, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.
Solid little post, the kind that does not need to be flashy because the substance is doing the work, and a look at nolarocore kept that quiet confidence going across the site, this is what writing looks like when the writer trusts the content to land on its own without theatrics or unnecessary attention seeking behaviour.
Now adjusting my expectations upward for the topic based on this post, and a stop at repealthecap continued that bar raising effect, content that resets what I think is possible on a subject is doing real work in shaping my standards and this site is providing those bar raising experiences at a notable rate during sessions.
Comfortable read, finished it without realising how much time had passed, and a look at successmarketboutique pulled me into more pages the same way, the absence of friction in good content lets time disappear and that is one of the highest compliments I can pay any piece of writing I find online during a regular search session.
